# License compatibility and component boundary

The Indonesian editable candidate, reviewed curation and published IAG2 files form a separately delivered GPL-3.0-only dictionary data component. The site fetches its content-addressed data files; Indonesian word rows are not embedded in generic TypeScript or JavaScript. The data license is not asserted over the independent site code or other locale sets.

The unchanged LibreOffice/hunspell-id files keep their own LGPL-3.0-only identifiers, copyright notices and historical comments. LGPLv3 includes GPLv3's terms with additional permissions. Under GPLv3 section 7, those additional permissions can be removed from a conveyed modified derivative. LGPLv3 section 2(b) also addresses this option, but is not the sole basis stated here. The filtered candidate is identified as the modified GPL-3.0-only derivative; the original raw files have not been relicensed or rewritten.

Kaikki/Wiktionary data is used under the selected CC BY-SA 4.0 option, not GFDL. Creative Commons lists GPLv3 as a one-way compatible adapter license for CC BY-SA 4.0 adaptations. Its content–software use recommendation is advisory guidance, not an added license condition. The application to this separable data asset is disclosed here and does not claim Creative Commons specifically recommends this architecture. MALINDO and Leipzig inputs are CC BY 4.0 and are attributed with changes in `NOTICE.md`.

This component-specific analysis concerns the actual published separation. Embedding Indonesian rows in application code or changing the integration would require a new review.
